Up until a couple of weeks ago I had no idea we ever had a uranium mine in Serbia ... but you live and learn so here we are - GABROVNICA, uranium mine closed in 1965. Apparently they were digging for uranium, and when they found it they were already in Bulgarian territory (the place is close to the border). No idea if the story is true.
I really felt horrible there. Weird bad energy - all these places where people once worked and their hopes were shattered feel weird, there is some heaviness that lingers even they though they are long gone.
